The list of icons is made according to the author's technology. A coniferous board was used to make the icon. Levkas (ground made from chalk powder and glue) is applied to a specially prepared board. The image of the icon is applied to the levkas under high temperatures and covered with a special composition that prevents color fading and protects against mechanical damage.
The icon of the Mother of God, called "Skoroposhlynytsia" - an ancient miraculous image, is located on the Holy Mount Athos, in the Dochiar monastery. Monastic tradition attributes the time of its writing to the 10th century, during the lifetime of the abbot of the monastery of St. Neophytes (the memory of the same day). In 1664, the refectory Neil, passing into the refectory at night with a lighted candle, heard a voice from the image of the Mother of God hanging above the door, urging him not to go here in the future and not to smoke the icon. The monk thought that it was a joke of some brother, ignored the omen and continued to go to the refectory with the smoked luchina. Suddenly he went blind. In bitter remorse, Nile prayed before the icon of the Mother of God, begging for forgiveness. And again I heard a wonderful voice that announced forgiveness and the return of sight and ordered to notify all the brothers: "From now on, this icon will be called My Quick Listener, because I will quickly show mercy and fulfill requests to everyone who comes to her." The Most Holy Theotokos fulfilled and now fulfills Her promise - she shows quick help and comfort to all who come to Her with faith.
