The miraculous image became famous in 1688. Then, with his help, in the Transfiguration Church, the sister of the Patriarch of Moscow, Job, Yevfimiya Papin, was healed. According to legend, the woman did not get out of bed and once, during the prayer to the Mother of God, she heard a voice: "Evthymia, why don't you turn to the common healer of all in your suffering?"

To the surprised patient's question about where she could find such a healer, the voice answered: "There is an image of Mine in the temple of the Transfiguration of My Son, called "The Joy of All Sorrowful Ones." It stands on the left side in the refectory, where women usually stand. Call to yourself from yourself. the priest of this church in this way, and when he offers the prayer with the holy water, you will receive healing. After the prayer, the woman recovered. Later, the icon was many more miraculous healings.
